Auckland trip

I woke up in the morning  my mum came in my room and said. time to go! I was exited  I packed my bag. The journey began. But first we went to the shops to get food so we can eat. I wasn't looking forward to the trip because all the mountains make me dizzy and sick.

Almost there!

We were halfway but we had a stop to have some lunch, my sister NIna had Burger King and I had sausage roll, for dessert  I had a caramel slice It was SO delicious.  The caramel was the best part.

We arrived and I was so exited because I can see my sisters baby hes so cool his name is Freddy. But first we had to stay In a hotel the hotel at first was really small but the 2nd bedroom door was locked so we unlocked it. It was SO big! but that was my mum and my dads room and I got the tiny room but it was big enough for me. we stayed a night in the hotel. The next day we went to my sisters house and we stayed there for the night.

It was the next day and we where came back from auckland, home sweet home!

   

Pihitia station blog post

On tuesday morning we went on a bus to go to The Pihitia station. It was 20 minuites later and we got out of the bus. Honu and I started to walk to Pihitia station when we got there we went in our lines

shearing

1st we went to the shearing we learned that its possible to make a surfboard out of wool i think its pretty cool then he got a sheep and he started to sheer it. then someone got lucky and they got to shear a little bit of the wool. I wish i got to but i didn't. :(

Birds

after the sheering we went to the birds 1st they told us about birds Next we played a game! so the person played sounds of bird sound we had to guess what type it was. after that there was a rat & mouse trap Once it was set up it was so loud!

Milking the cow

After the birds we went to the cow she told us how to milk it she tried to milk the cow but it wasn't coming out.

but then she gave us some whipped cream! it was delisouse it felt so good after we had that we made some butter and everyone go to shake it.

Butcher

after that we went to the butcher i got there and he started talking about the meat. He said that the meat was Lamb and there was a lot of blood there it was really gross it looked really good and smelled really good.

Technoligy

after we learned about sheeps meat we went to the veichles. We saw 2 four wheeler veichles and a moterbike. We  saw a moterbike a Quad bike and a Tractor. we also got to sit in the seats my faviourite veic was the quad bike.

Drone

After that we went to  the drone. He started to talk about the drones. Then we where gonna use the drone ''zoom!'' it went so fast we where looking at the drone on the tv we saw a flipped over Quad bike and everyone said it was a setup. which i'm pretty sure it was.

Dogs & Sheep

After we went to the drones we went to the dogs & the sheep we saw the dogs Boyd & Cruise Boyd Dosn't bark he just stairs the sheep down and they run away but Cruise does bark he's the one that makes them run away.

Machine

After the dogs & the sheep we went to the machine this machine makes sure that the sheep arn't under 47 KG's some of them made it through. but then we tried some people in the class we put Yandre in there and suprisingly he made it through! with 49 Kgs.

My faviourite station was either the sheering or the drones.

Athletics day, yay!

3 2 1! Koka Rozie said, “it’s athletics time!” Some people were excited and others weren’t. I As the name Kalani i was not looking forward to it because you know me, I HATE athletics day. 

Anyways, first we had sprinting. We were getting ready to run as fast as we could. ‘’On your marks get set BOOM!’’ Koka Rozie clapped the wooden blocks and we all ran as fast we could. I finished in 3rd place.  

Then in the finals there were all of the fastest runners in the school. The count down was about to start ‘’On your mark, get set, GO!’’ I was sprinting. I fell back into 5th place.I finished last place and at least I made it to the one of the runs

Long jump

After sprinting we went to long jump. First it was the Girls turn then Boys. when it was the boys turn i saw some challenges then i thought to myself, ’'what leg should i use to jump?’’ then i remembered my left one is my good one so i use my left leg. It was near my turn to jump. I was starting to stretch my arms so I could swing them when running so I could go like when Sonic did the naruto run. It was finally my turn I started sprinting I remembered what foot to jump of the mat with ‘’aha!’’ The left one. I remembered I ran as fast I could swing my hands to go faster. I jumped on the mat into the sand. I got words that I was 2cm behind Prince. Iceleti didn’t make it in intoschool, i’m glad though cause really tired. Like I said I hate athletics day.

Ball throw

 Guess what one was next. Ball throw my worst fear. If you don’t know I'm so bad at throwing and catching. Ok so put me next to arthur. He’s 100x better than me. Right? Anyways it was me next I swang my arms my hardest but i didn’t succeed. 

When I was back from athletics day I was exhausted and sweaty it was basically the end of the day I went home had a big rest and had some food.

Bee Bot maze

Hi,

Today we made a maze using bee bots and blocks. First  I got my writing book and we wrote a set of instructions, next we shared our instructions with our buddy, my buddy was Olly. Olly said mine was good, so then we both made a ''maze'' with blocks.

 Then I got a ruler and measured 15 centimeters, I didn't get to finish my maze, so then Koka Joe said to do it on a grid so I did that. Then I had to coppie my random instructions I wrote in my book. I really liked the bee bots and i hope we can use them again.

Tuahine Lighthouse

Last week we went on our chromebooks and made a google drawing about the Tuahine lighthouse, 1st we had to make a Google drawing. We had to draw he lighthouse including good detail such as backgrounds, tools, and lots more.

My metaphor is lead the way, lead the way means you know the way to the Tuahine lighthouse and it leads you.  Lead the way in learning means that you are on task and doing your work. 

bee bots visit The jungle

 Hello,

My name is Kalani and this is my blog post about Bee Bots. In Room 4 we have been programming Bee bots, Bee bots are little robots that you can program to go anywhere. What we did was we read a book and we drew the characters and cut them out. When we cut them out, me and my friend Jackson went to a grid on the carpet. We took the pictures and we spread the pictures around the grid. Then Jackson programmed the Bee bot to go in order of the story. Jackson pressed Go, and it started to go, it was almost there but it turned around.

Then it was my turn and I started testing it and seeing if it was right. Then me and Jackson put it to the test.  First it went to the country house, then the Zoo, then it got to the Jeep, then the African  jungle and then finally it got too the Nile, the last place.

Today I learned how to program things and make them move. I enjoyed programming the bee bots and I had a lot of fun.
